Library Thing pulled up my books and information quickly. It was interesting to see how many people shared books on my list and to read their reviews. If I had books I wanted my students to read, I could post them and reviews so they could pull the information off of my page.
I use Shelfari - it is similar .. you can create a scrolling list of books in Picassa which is a slide show feature of google & then scroll all the books our teacher book club is reading or has read.

I just checked out Shelfari and loved it!! I'm really visual so it really helped the way the website was set-up. Very user friendly...
